Is There A Connection Between Health And Salt?

When I was a kid, I remember hearing that Dr. Seuss had used coarse table salt in his books to draw animal characters. In fact, I am pretty sure the cover of one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books is the same salt that Dr. Seuss once used in some of his books. When I learned of the food allergy controversy there were many questions on my mind.

Did this mean that we should eat only salty foods? Was this any different than the healthy weight loss diet that Dr. Seuss encouraged and actually gave advice on?

The honest answer is that I wanted to know if people who had to try to follow this kind of diet and maybe even have this kind of diet should go ahead and do it or should they wait and find out whether this kind of diet actually works? My feelings had been mixed all along, but I began to realize after getting a bit more information on this kind of diet and on the subject of nutrition. Some people werent going to help me understand, so I started writing down my thoughts and observations. What I soon realized is that this all adds up to the conclusion that you are the one who will need to make a final decision.

If you decide to use coarse table salt in your cooking and even if you do not use table salt, it still matters. As a matter of fact, people who like to eat salty food tend to eat the most food because they are stuck in the habit of eating those foods with their salty nature in them.

Sea salt, sea Bitter Apple, Himalayan Salt, and Sardines to name a few. No matter what kind of salt you use for your cooking the effects of this salt all day long is the same.

The health results of having this type of salt are very obvious, and the benefits are numerous. Many people who are aware of the health benefits of this kind of salt say that they have experienced the same health benefits in terms of weight loss. It has even been documented that some diets in China that use table salt have shown a positive effect on their cholesterol levels.

People who are used to having salt in their diet generally have very oily bodies and this helps the body to release and use the fat easily. This is especially true when you eat more oily foods like fatty foods, fried foods, chips, etc.

The health benefits are also attributed to the fact that this type of salt contains many trace minerals like zinc, selenium, magnesium, copper, manganese, etc. These trace minerals help the body in many ways such as detoxifying the system.

The last thing that I want to mention is that it is known to have a rich herbal flavor and is therefore used by both Native Americans and Europeans. Its use has many similarities to the natural herbs that Native Americans used to prepare their Native American style meals.

But I still think that there are many reasons why you should use coarse table salt in your cooking. If you use it every time you cook, you will not need to do much if anything to compensate for the lack of it in your diet.
